if you want to make money online, whether you are going to sell your own product or service or someone else’s product or service (as an affiliate marketer), the first thing you need to do is select a niche.
Do your research and try and identify a profitable niche with good competition. Don’t spend too much time on this, if you struggle to decide on a niche, look for a Niche that is evergreen such as the Health and Wealth niches.
Your perfect customer
The second thing is to figure out who is your perfect client, who do you want to work with? Look at your own experiences, interests, and passions. Being part of a group of people sharing the same interest, you already know their needs, desires, and hopes. Try to describe your ideal customer in one or two sentences.
What makes you different from your competition?
Do you have any specialized experience or knowledge to offer to this niche?
If you don’t have specialized experience or knowledge yourself but have access to resources that do, you can still offer great value to your niche.
Find your offer
As I mentioned before make sure the niche is profitable. Just because you have a passion for it, doesn’t make it profitable. Your target audience must have a need or want for your product or service and must have enough money to buy the solutions you offer.
Creating Your Own Products or Services
As you work with your audience and gain customers due to the affiliate products you promote, you may gain insight into the audience that gives you the idea to create a brand-new product for them. This can be free or for a paid product, depending on what you want to use it for.
Extra Income Stream
You can create products as a separate income stream that compliments an affiliate product that you promote.
If you promote this on one of the Affiliate networks, you can get other affiliates to promote your product and boost your income.
Bonuses
One of the ways that you can use your own products is to offer it as a bonus when someone purchase one of your affiliate promotions. This enables you to add the visitors to your list and start adding value to them, this will increase your revenue. Some of affiliate systems enables you to add bonus products to the sales funnel.
Building Your List
You can create products that are specific for list-building purposes. Anything that your audience needs and that is simple to create for example a checklist to help your audience create a WordPress site.
